Web Service Admin

Web Services connect IWS to an external database and allows IWS to read information from that database to be used in indexing and searching.  Details about the web service feed from the external system or database must be known prior to setup in this screen.

Web Service Search/List

Use the list to find and edit an existing web service.  Use the +Add Service button to create a new web service.



  • Use the search/filter boxes at the top of the grid to narrow the list of web service.
  • The column headers can be clicked to sort each column.  Click again to sort the opposite direction.
  • Click on any web service record to open the edit screen.



Document Storage Location Editing

The add/edit screen allows the system admin to add a new Document Storage Location, or modify and existing Document Storage Location.  Assignment of the storage locations is handled in the Departments area.



Action Buttons

  • Save: This button will save the new location record or changes to an existing record.
  • Delete: This button will delete the location record.
    • **A storage location cannot be removed while it is attached to an active department.


Fields and Settings

  • Name:  Enter a name to describe what this storage location connection is used for.  This appears in the storage locations list.
  • Location:  The path to the storage location.
    • Local paths should include the drive letter.  All backslash separators should be reversed to forward slashes in this field.
