How To Access
To access this page automatically after login, or by selecting the User Admin option on the main menu. This menu option is only accessible by authorized system administrators.
This help documentation uses screen captures from a test system and are presented here for example only.
User Admin Grid List
The User Admin grid provides a list of users already added to the system and an option to add new users.
** Only users that need specific access (Project Admin, Project Review, Super Admin) need to be added in this screen. Read only users that will just access the main project dashboard screen do not need to be added. They can access the system as regular "users" with their active directory account.
- The grid list can be filtered using the boxes at the top of each column.
- Wildcard searches are permitted (%partialname).
- The grid list can be sorted by click the column name. Clicking the same name again will sort the opposite direction.
- Paging navigation options will be displayed on the bottom right of the grid.
- To view user record, click it from the list. A separate user window will display (detailed on this documentation page under the section (Add/Edit User)).
- Add User: Click this button to open the new user window (detailed on this documentation page under the section (Add/Edit User).
Add/Edit User
By clicking the Add User button or a row in the grid for an existing user, a window will appear for either Add or Edit user. The field options are the same for both.
- LDAP User: Enter the full email address of the LDAP user to connect to.
- The system will automatically connect to the matching user in Active Directory if it exists.
- Email Address: Enter the full email address of the user. This may be used for email communications from the Dashboard system.
- First Name: Enter the first name of the user for display purposes.
- Last Name: Enter the last name of the user for display purposes.
- Active: Select this box if the user is to be active in the Dashboard system.
- Deselect if the user should no longer have access. (They will still have read only access if they are active in Active Directory.)
- Groups: This is a multi-select box. Select the security groups this user should belong to.
- Project Admin: Can add/edit projects in the Project Admin screen.
- Project Auditor: Can access the Project Review screen and process reviews.
- Super Admin: Can access everything in the system. Reserved for system admins.
- User: This group is automatically assigned to read only users that can login to the system via Active Directory without a specific account setup in this admin screen.
- Save Changes: Click this button to save the new or edited user record.
- Close: Click this button to close without saving changes.
