General guide to setting up document types, queues and rules for a new or existing department.
- Setup Queues - There must be at least two "Active" queues in the system before being able to setup a document type. There must be at least one queue with the "Queue Type" of Indexing, prior to being able to setup any document types.
- Setup Document Types - A document type must have indexes attached to it, and be active, before being able to use it inside the system.
- Setup Queue Rules - This is an optional step, but is recommended to enhance system automation.
- Test, Test, Test.... Make sure queues, document types, and rules are behaving as expected. Try and streamline any processes that seem illogical.
